The Rugby Club is a thriving section, and in addition to running three sides on a regular basis throughout the season, there is also a Veterans' side, and to cover the younger element an ever-growing 'Minis' and Junior section.

And off the pitch, there are many social gatherings, ranging from Pub Golf, a Club Golf Day, a Christmas Kangaroo Court and an end of season Dinner to the Club end of season Tour.

The War Memorial Playing Field at Failand is a much-envied facility in the Bristol area, with the grounds well maintained by our groundsman Russ Yandell, and a modern Clubhouse which boasts dressing rooms and a well-stocked bar. These facilities are available for hire to both members and non-members at competitive rates, with discounts being available to Society members. Rugby, Football, and Cricket pitches are available in the appropriate seasons, while the ground can also be hired for the erection of marquees, barbecues, tug of war and the pitching of tents.

The Clubhouse is ideal for social get togethers, birthday/engagement parties, wedding receptions, as well as seminars, works conferences and committee meetings.
