Annual General Meeting for the Old Bristolians' Society

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of members is to be held at Bristol Grammar School on Tuesday, March 14th 2023, commencing at 7:00 pm. The meeting will be held in the Great Hall. 

Agenda:

• Apologies for Absence
• Approval of the Minutes of the AGM held on Tuesday, March 8th, 2022
• Report of the Society Committee
• The Acting Treasurer’s Report and Statement of Accounts to September 30th, 2022
• To agree a proposed rule change in respect of the Officers of the Society.
• Election of Officers of the Society
• Election of Representative(s) of the Old Bristolians’ Sports Club
• To consider resolutions
• Any other business within the scope of this meeting

Nominations of members, duly seconded, to act as Officers of the Society should be emailed to the Secretary as below to arrive no later than Tuesday, February 21st, 2023. Officers presenting themselves for re-election do not need to be formally nominated.

The Officers of the Society are the President, the President Elect, the Chair of the Committee, the Vice Chair of the Committee, the Secretary, the Treasurer, the Society’s School Liaison Officer, the Society’s Archivist, the Editor of the Society’s magazine ‘Bristolienses’, the Sports Club Officer, the Society’s AROPS representative and the Society’s Careers Co-ordinator.

The proposed rule change included above would, if approved, add to the list of Officers of the Society the role of Social Events Liaison Officer.

By nomination of the Committee, the President of the Society for 2023/2024 is Peter Jakobek.
