Old Bristolians' 111th Annual Dinner - Saturday 23 March 2024 - BOOK NOW

The Old Bristolians Society Annual Dinner is back - and better than ever! Following on from the great success of our 2023 Annual Dinner, we can't wait to welcome back all Old Bristolians - especially those in reunion years! 


We've worked hard in the current climate to make the ticket price the best value for money that we can. Tickets are £55 and include a welcome drink of fizz or sparkling elderflower, sponsored by Hydes' of Bristol, a three-course meal, entertainment and a raffle with great prizes raising money for the 500 Campaign at Bristol Grammar School. Under 35? The Old Bristolians' Society have kindly subsidised your ticket price to £40.


To keep the ticket price affordable, and fair to those who can't or don't wish to drink, we have removed the alcohol included in the ticket price. There will be a fully stocked bar to purchase your preferred alcohol, and if you'd like to pre-order any items please contact Marcus Cryer We this makes the event as inclusive as possible, and allows people the flexibility to drink what they really like.


This year our outgoing President of the Society is much-loved long term staff member, former PE and Art teacher and Head of House, Pete Jakobek. Were you in Jakobek's House? Did he teach you? Were you on a sports tour with him? Then please do come along and celebrate his Presidency and 42nd year at BGS. Pete passes on the Presidency to Old Bristolian Reverend James Harris (OB 1997). 

Whilst every year we welcome anyone from the BGS community to attend, is 2024 a reunion year for you? We'd love to see you get a table together and if we can help contact people for you, please let us know.

Please indicate any dietary requirements when booking. We will tailor the menu for you and if we have any queries, we'll be in touch.

  • Starter: Crispy Prawn Selection with Sweet Chilli Dip or Melon Caprese Salad with Mozzarella (VE/VG options available)
  • Main: Chicken Parmigiano (chicken pan friend in crumbed parmesan with tomato sauce and buffalo mozarella) with potatoes, bacon shavings and rosemary or Butternut & Sage Risotto topped with parmesan crisp
  • Dessert: Chocolate cheesecake or Lemon tart with raspberry compote (VE/GF options available)
