Review of Annual Dinner

I should like to thank everyone for their support during my Presidential year. It was a steep learning curve despite my lengthy association with the Society and I was a little apprehensive about the Dinner. But it was a splendid occasion and great fun. It was wonderful to see so many people at the Annual Dinner and to chat with old and new friends.

It was a most enjoyable evening, with good company, excellent food, enthusiastic singing (yes, really!) and a chance to hear some Tory Party gossip from the MP for Kingswood, Chris Skidmore, BGS 1992-1999.

The large number of reunion groups led to extra tables, but although the Great Hall was full there was space to wander from table to table exchanging news and views. Also wandering between the tables were two very classy magicians, and we hope to hear more of the great in-house musicians who sang and played for us.

Thank you to everyone involved; I look forward to seeing you next year.
