The Welsh Three Peaks Challenge- raising funds for the BGS 500 Campaign
An intrepid group of thirty Year 12 students will be taking part in the first BGS Welsh Three Peaks Challenge this June.
They will be walking a distance of 30km and ascending to 2,267 metres over the course of their 24-hour expedition and summiting all three peaks!
Led by a team of seven qualified teachers, including mountain leaders Mr Clark and Mr Starks - our newly appointed Director of Outdoor Education- this will become an experience for our pupils to treasure for life. Children and staff are doing this for their physical and mental health, adventure, teamwork and to raise vital funds for our BGS 500 Campaign.
We are committed to supporting motivated and talented children, regardless of their background and financial means. We have raised over £3.2million for Bursary Awards and our target is to support one in four children ( 25%) of the school by 2032, the 500th anniversary of our school.
This challenge is one of the many that will take place for Giving Day in November. We are delighted to announce that all donations will be match-funded.
