Join us for our brand new Old Bristolian Lecture Series where we are hearing from a variety of Old Bristolians' as they discuss their career and life since BGS.
This week our speaker is Professor Alexander Betts. Betts attended BGS from 1990-1997 and most recently revisited his old stomping ground to address the departing A Level students in January 2019 with an empassioned speech about his days at BGS and what he had accomplished since.
Since his time at BGS, Alex went on to become the Leopold Muller Professor of Forced Migration and International Affairs, William Golding Senior Fellow in Politics at Brasenose College, and Associate Head of the Social Sciences Division at the University of Oxford. In addition to his academic publications, he has written for Foreign Affairs, the New York Times, and the Guardian, and appeared on the BBC, Al Jazeera, and CNN.
You can find out more about Alex on his website.
